Raised in London and now based in New Zealand, Melinki's debut solo exhibition Agents of Chaos explores the beauty the emerges from mayhem. Through layers of colour, gesture and instinct, this show navigates the tension between structure and spontenaity allowing control to dissolve and intuition to take over.
The exhibition moves between energetic, fractured compositions and softer, meditative pieces, reflecting on the unpredictability of emotions, environments and human connection.
Electric blues, deep violets, magentas, blacks, luminous whites and glimmers of golds create shifting emotional landscapes that invite viewers to pause and find their own pathways through her work.
In Agents of Chaos, abstraction becomes a language of process rather than certainty. These paintings do not seek to depict a fixed reality, but capture fragments of movement, sensation and transformation – reminding us that chaos itself can be regenerative and beautiful.
